WHO IS DIAMOND MOON?

“Diamond Moon” is the faerie name for the Designer and Creator of this beautiful, hand made jewellery found in these pages.  Her earth name is, SANDRA.

After many years of owning and running a very successful Guest House in the centre of Preston Lancashire England, Sandra and her husband retired and spent the next seven subsequent years renovating there farm in France.  Unfortunately, for financial reasons, Keith had to return to the UK to work on until his English retirement age and Sandra had to stay alone in France to complete the work on the farmhouse.  She became known amongst the local English community as "Bobette The Builder".  She goes on to say:

"I was born in Preston, Lancashire, England in 1946 and lived there until 1966. I then lived in Ndola, Zambia and Monrovia, Liberia for 4 years. Since then, I have lived in Southern England, Northern Wales, Southern Scotland, and Central France.

In the last few years, my husband and I have travelled through Europe across to Romania four times to visit friends. We are grateful to have many Romanian friends at the University of Cluj Napoca. Thankfully, we have friends all around the world, including America, South Africa, France, Canada and, of course, the United Kingdom which has given us extensive knowledge of life around this troubled world of ours.

My husband and I moved to live in the Deux Sevres, Department 79 in Central West France in August 2001 and our permanent home is in St Marsault, a little village in La Foret sur Sevre.  We have been busy renovating our farm and it is 'almost' finished.  Only someone who has started a renovation of an old French property can appreciate that it is never 'finished'.  We have MANY, MANY years to reach THAT particular goal!!!

I am a long time member of The Fairy Ring and enjoy communicating with like minded people and the little folk.

In 2006, I returned to the UK for my 60th birthday celebration and decided to stay until Keith could take his final retirement on his 65th birthday.  Whilst in the Uk for the next three years, I have discovered the delights of adult study and utilised the time to refine my Jewellery Making skills at Lancashire College in Chorley, Lancashire.  I will continue with my jewellery making in the French Sunshine and the beautiful countryside.

It is interesting to note that each piece of my jewellery is INDIVIDUAL and will never be repeated, unless requested by the original purchaser.
